On your mark, get set, ...

On your mark, get set, ...

For only the second time in the six months that we've been swimming, we got to class early so Eli could play on the swing. We couldn't stay outside for too long because it was pretty darn cold out.

I got Eli ready for the pool in record time, which meant that we had to sit by the edge of the pool and wait for the earlier class to get out. This is the cruelest form of torture for Eli. I'm sure that he would have attempted to run a ropes course if that meant that he could get in the pool afterwards.

In the pool, Eli was a little star; he was all about froggy kicks and splashing. Today, as you can see, there were only two other swimmers, Kai and Delphina. Kai tried on goggles for the first time, and took them off shortly afterwards. Eli wasn't as stoked as he was last week, but did enjoy chewing on them once they were off his face.

We are SUPPOSED to go to my parent's house tonight on the grounds that Eli takes a good nap before we go. And just to prove that he has ulitmate control over every aspect of our lives, he is currently screaming in his crib in protest. He is tired, why won't he sleep? If doesn't sleep and we go, he'll be a total crank butt. And if we don't go, we won't get to see my parents, which is a huge bummer. What to do...what to do...
