Target dressing room brawl

This past weekend was the first weekend we've had in forever where we didn't have any solid plans. Franz and I wanted to work in the garden, so on Saturday, we made a trip to the Santa Cruz nursery. Eli loves nurseries as most of them carry at least one of two following things: chimes and fountains. This one had both, so we knew we were in business. All we had to do was park his stroller next to a fountain, and Eli was set. He could have stayed there all day. We are looking into putting an accessable fountain in our garden just for him. I'm thinking we just might as well set up a bed out there for him because the rest of the house will lose all purpose once he has access to moving water.

Sunday, we decided to make it an Eli day, so we found a toddler park near Nani and Grandpa's house to go to. I so wish that we had something like that near us; Eli had a blast. There were scooters and toys and all the play equiptment was just his size. But more than that, at regular parks, Eli is overwhelmed by all the big kids, but this didn't happen because all the kids were just about his age. Eli even found a little friend in a 15 month old girl named Eva. They both spun the stearing wheels in indentical play cars, all the while checking on each other to make sure that the other car wasn't secretly better. Eli wanted out of the car, but he wasn't done with it like we thought. He figured out that he would have much more fun playing with the four wheels on the bottom of the car rather than the one wheel inside of the car. He was pretty entertained by that, and begun tipping over all the cars within reach. There was a toddler sized merry-go-round that we put Eli on, but true to form, he didn't want to ride the merry-go-round, he wanted off so he could spin it. I can appreciate that kind of consistancy.
