Suffering from wheel withdrawls

Suffering from wheel withdrawls

Yesterday, Eli, Sona, and I went to the park. And again, all Eli wanted to do was play with the wheels. And now he says, "wheel" so he spins and says, "eel! eel! wheel! wheel! wheel!" (it takes him a few tries to get the "wh" involved) the whole time.

Sona and I were determined to get him to play on the slide, and this proved to be a harder task than planned. Sona and I had to go down the slide a bunch and exclaim how fun it was before Eli found it a worthy cause to leave his wheel for. He crawled to the top of the slide himself, and went down face first. While he was sliding, he was all smiles, but as soon as he reached the bottom, he realized that he was away from his beloved wheel and freaked out. He tried crawling back up the slide, but it was too steep for him. We tried showing him how to go around, but he wanted none of that as going around involved letting the wheel out of his sight. I tried picking him up, but he screamed even more. After a lenghthy pep talk, we eventually got him to walk around to the sacred wheel, and all was right with the world again.

On an unrelated note, Eli can pick out my nose and ears with surgeon like accuracy. He can pick out my eyes and mouth some of the time. Are my nose and ears really that big?
