This week Franz swam with Eli. Unlike last week, Eli was all about chewing on a little foam fishy the teacher gave him. I'm suprised they didn't charge us for a new one as Eli put teeth marks all over it. It was only at the end of the class that Eli showed much interest in being in the water; he splashed around and loved the water so much, that he kept sticking his face in it. Franz repeatedly had to pull him up for air.
Today, Eli, Franz, Nani, and I went for a walk at Lake Chabot. It was pretty cold, but really beautiful. Eli is in this phase where he cannot sleep anywhere except the car or his crib (I wish he would get over this), so he was quite fussy before we left for our walk. But true to form, as soon as we were outside, he was in his element and content. At least there is one sure thing: Eli + outside = happy.

The boys is ready for some long rides and camping. As long as he can sit up and hold onto the reins, Shanti wil take him anywhere he wants to go.
