This week has flown by, and I haven't taken the time to write, or more importantly, post pictures. This was brought to my attention today by Ravi, who called because he was concerned that something had happened to prohibit me from posting. Nothing has happened, just some life getting in the way.
Eli is starting to talk. He says, "Hi baby" all the time now. He does it on cue when he looks at himself in the mirror; its the cutest thing ever. He also does his impression of us doing an impression of a snake. There's a snake in one of his animal books, and Franz started making a snake out of his arm, and slithering it toward Eli all the while hissing just before going in for a little tickle. At first, Eli would just copy the hand movement, by using the same motion that he uses to knock everything off a table; its more of a swipe than a snake. But the other day with me, he added a small hissing sound, like that of a slow leaking balloon. I'm trying to get him to make the connection between the "S" sound he makes with the snake and the "S" sound in Sona's name. He doesn't really get it yet though.
