Eli had surgery yesterday, which was one of the hardest days ever. But, everything is going great; he had an infection on his lymph node and they put in a tube to let it drain, which is why the left side of his neck is covered still. His left hand is wrapped up because that's where the IV is (he thinks its pretty great to have all these fun tubes to play with). The doctor wants Eli to stay in the hospital through at least Monday.
It's been a pretty rough ride, but we are all doing better. Eli is in pretty good spirits, he's still in a bit of pain, but that doesn't stop him from grabbing at EVERYTHING. Its so cute and reassuring. Franz and I are taking turns going home to rest (hospital sleep doesn't count really).
