Today, we went to visit with Julie and Galen, which we haven't done in forever. Eli was a little shy at first, and wouldn't play with Galen at all. But after fifteen minutes, Eli was much more comfortable, and was having a good time checking out all of Galen's toys. Galen was really big into giving Eli a toy to play with, and then taking it away upon realizing that he really should be the one having more fun. When this happened, Eli would get the sad face for about a half a second, and then got over it. I don't see this trend lasting too much longer.
Galen was super excited to have Eli over, and there was a period there where all Galen wanted to do was "hug" Eli, which was more of a tackle than anything else. He would run up to Eli, throw is arms around him, and then pull him to the ground, and it took me or Julie to pull him off. Eli really didn't know what to make of all of that. He didn't freak out, which is what I would have done, but rather, he just looked really confused. Totally understandable.
