So Eli's now into taking things apart. What you see here is my kitchen timer. When I first gave it to him, he couldn't figure out how to make it ring. It was a little difficult for him to get because he could only turn it one way to make it go off. But after about five minutes of tinkering, he got the hang of it, turning it to the right with his right hand, and turning it back to the zero with his left hand, thus getting the coveted ring.
I foolishly thought that this would be enough to entertain him. I was wrong. After he grew tired of making it ring, he started taking on and off the dial. Then he took the whole thing apart, playing with all the wheels and cogs inside. He tried putting it back together, but he must have broke something because it doesn't work at all now.
We are now thinking of ways of hiding our clock radio, TV, DVD player, and toaster, as we can see this becoming a habit. Franz does this too and that is the reason you won't see him wear a watch, because its easy to take it apart, its the putting back together part that's tricky.

Eli is in his tinkering mode then it will be the breaking mode. Watch out for that.
